Inconel 600/601/625/800/825 forgings are a chromium nickel-iron alloy that has excellent corrosion resistance and resistance to heat. Inconel 600 forging has high mechanical strength and shows good workability. The high amount of nickel element increases its resistance property. Moreover, it resists too many organic and inorganic acids.

Because of the chromium element, it is resistance to sulfur compound and also resists to oxidation corrosion. Inconel 625 and 601 forging is basically a nickel-chromium alloy. And used in that application where need high strength and good fabricability. This type of forging can easily work from cryogenic temperature to 1800 degrees f. Grade 625 have some amount of columbium and molybdenum that increases its toughness and hardness.

Inconel 800 forging has many excellent features like high mechanical strength, and resistance to oxidation, and carburization. It is also resistance to scaling and chloride stress corrosion cracking. Inconel 800 forging have ruptured and creep property at high temperature. It shows high ductility rather than austenitic steel. The Inconel 825 forging has a molybdenum, copper, titanium content with iron, chromium, and nickel. Because of aluminum, molybdenum it shows high resistance property in the reducing environment. It is not affected very easily by acid attack.
