The increased level of alloys such as molybdenum, nickel, and chromium is enhancing the chloride pitting as well as general corrosion resistance.

The resistance ability increases with the addition of molybdenum. SS 317L is completely resistant to sulfuric acid concentrations to 5% at the temperature ranging 49 Deg C. At the temperature under 38 Deg C this alloy gets high resistance ability to sulfuric acid concentrations to 5% at the temperature of 49 Deg C. This grade is having resistance to high concentration solution at the temperature 38 Deg C.

Few tests are conducted on Stainless Steel 317L Washer for the quality checking. The tests done on it are like hardness testing, pitting resistance testing, PMI and IGC testing, etc.
